The seat in moulded veneer combines timeless design with a surface treatment that highlights the natural beauty of the wood. The softly upholstered seat adds extra comfort for longer periods of sitting and can be covered in durable textiles or leather. The backrest is available in several versions – choose a tone-on-tone color or a contrasting one for a more personal expression. Hug is a modern design classic, combining lightness and character that lasts over time.

The challenge was to push the boundaries of moulded veneer to create bold curves that offer comfort while maintaining the material’s lightness and strength.

Jens Fager is a Swedish designer educated at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. He has created acclaimed furniture pieces across Europe and is behind several series for Edsbyn – including Feather and Ease – as well as solid wood designs such as Arc Stool and Solid Table Top.
