The revival of Edsbyn’s iconic Fanett
06 February 2025
Edsbyn will showcase a range of new products at the Stockholm Furniture Fair from February 4–7, 2025. The highlights of this year include the return of the best-selling icons, the Fanett Chair T55 and Fanett Tabouret.
Edsbyn is one of Sweden’s oldest furniture companies, with a rich history of entrepreneurship. For over a century, the company has embraced changes in the market, turning from wooden skis and molded chairs to modern modular furniture. Today, Edsbyn stands for sustainable design and innovation that bridges the company’s heritage with a clear vision for the future—enhancing the experience of every room through innovative solutions and meaningful design that adds energy and well-being to people’s everyday lives.
As Fanett, the 1950s icon, makes its return this year, Edsbyn’s past and future converge in an unprecedented way. With its elegant design and impressively light weight, the chair quickly became a favorite in both private and public spaces. Originally crafted from leftover materials from ski production, the Fanett symbolises Edsbyn’s longstanding commitment to sustainability and innovation. Produced in Edsbyn’s own factory in Hälsingland, the chair continues to reflect the company’s dedication to quality and craftsmanship, and for the first time in history, it will also be available online at www.edsbyn.com.
“Fanett has sold over 5 million units worldwide. This long-awaited relaunch is a reminder of Edsbyn’s strong design heritage and ability to adapt to new times and generations,” says Alexander Reed, Product Manager at Edsbyn.
