A new chapter at Masthuggskajen
dNovo Law Firm, Gothenburg

When the law firm dNovo set out to find new premises, they chose Habitat 7 at Masthuggskajen in Gothenburg. A contemporary timber building with a strong sustainability profile, where architecture, materials, and light come together to create a work environment designed for the long term. With support from Senab, they have created an office that feels warm and welcoming, with subtle, playful details.

Warm and personal
The interior project was carried out together with Senab, who prioritize Swedish-made, high-quality furniture.
The spaces include workstations, meeting rooms, and social areas such as lunch and lounge spaces, where the overall expression is defined by natural materials, soft tones, and a clear connection to the building’s timber architecture.

Careful consideration has been given to the building’s materials and conditions. The consistent use of wood, together with selected furniture and details, contribute to a cohesive and warm environment. Elements of reuse have also been integrated into the project as a natural part of the overall approach.

"dNovo wanted an office that stands out and creates a more personal and welcoming atmosphere than the traditional law firm"
Annika Säfdal, Project Manager at Senab

Elements of reuse have also been integrated into the project as a natural part of the overall approach.

Several solutions from Edsbyn play a distinct role in the new office. NEAT storage units in oak appear throughout the space, while tables with wooden details reinforce the material palette and contribute to an environment that feels both deliberate and inviting.
"We now have an office that aligns well with who we are and the journey we are on"
David Schreiber, Managing Partner dNovo

An appreciated environment
The result is an office that feels modern and calm, despite its central location. The daylight from the large windows, combined with the presence of wood in both the building and the interior, creates a distinct atmosphere appreciated by both employees and visitors.
